The players include Cyril Rioli, James Sicily, James Frawley, Dallas Willsmore, Jack Gunston and Liam Shiels.
They are studying the university’s diploma of project management course at the club's headquarters in Waverley.
Hawthorn player development manager Cam Matthews said the club was happy to see their players engaging in study.
“We encourage all our players to have an interest outside of footy and it’s great to see so many of our guys participating in the diploma of project management,” Mr Matthews said.
“The diploma will arm our guys with some really important skills and we are delighted to have nine players undertaking the course.”
University business development manager Damian Larkin said the university was delighted to work with the Hawthorn Football Club.
“Our diploma of project management will help the Hawthorn players develop important skills and knowledge for future projects,” Mr Larkin said.
“The diploma is suitable for anyone already working in a project role and looking for a qualification to continue their journey as project managers.
See your ad here“In this program, the Hawthorn players will study 12 units and learn to manage all aspects of a project including scope, time, cost, quality, project management information systems, as well as how to manage project teams and project stakeholders.”
Project leaders and managers are found across a variety of industries such as manufacturing, IT, finance, education and more.
